My son added:

Baptism

and John the Baptist

Our books marked with a “B”:

Today was our “A” day and it went quite well. My son loves the whole concept and was trying to guess what was going to be next — and he added a few words to our lists. Reading our Introduction to the Liturgical Year really spawned good discussions on the liturgical calendar and about Advent.

We spent some of the afternoon coloring and cutting and pasting this nice little Nativity.

I hope to share some pictures of our paper chain and Advent wreath poster in a day or two. I’m sure not every day in Advent will go this smoothly, but it was so nice to begin Advent on a solid footing.

I’ve also posted over at O Night Divine and Catholic Cuisine.

Advent is one of my favorite liturgical seasons, can you tell? I think I love it as much as Sally.
