Definition of Feria

I am Jennifer Gregory Miller, a wife of 9 years and mother of one 6 year old son (ds), and another little boy, age 22 months.

Our family strives to live out the Liturgical Year in our Domestic Church…and the Liturgical Year reflects all our daily events, whether it be a birthday, Baptism, nameday, Feast day, Sunday, a new season, weekday family dinner, or a snuggle with a book and my sons.

Years ago I conceived the project and helped develop the Catholic Culture’s Liturgical year section. That area continues to be one of my favorite subjects. Others include music, especially Sacred Music, especially Gregorian Chant through the Ward method. I’ve been busy raising my boys but hope to reimmerse myself into teaching this more.

I’m homeschooling my sons, incorporating different ideas along the way, such as Catholic interpretation of Charlotte Mason (see Mater Amabilis), Catechesis of the Good Shepherd, FIAR, Montessori, Classical education, art study, nature study, picture book study, Gregorian Chant, piano, etc. I have done the research and now have to do the living!

This is just a casual recording of our daily ebbs and flows in our Catholic family and thoughts and ponderings along our journey.

In all things we say “Benedicite, omnia opera Domini, Domino” (O all ye works of the Lord, bless ye the Lord).
